Play Chess Anywhere with This Magnetic Travel Set

You're mid game and someone bumps the table, scattering every single piece across the floor. You're crawling around picking up pawns and trying to remember where everything was. This magnetic chess set keeps pieces locked in position during car rides, flights, and outdoor games.

Each piece contains a built-in magnet that grips the board surface when placed. The board measures 30 by 30 centimeters and folds in half for storage. The set weighs 1 kilogram and fits inside backpacks or carry-on luggage.

The board displays a black and white grid pattern with clear square markings. All 32 pieces snap into place when you set them down. The set works for players ages six and up learning basic moves or practicing advanced strategies.

The plastic construction handles drops and regular use without cracking. The foldable design lets you store it in tight spaces between games. The magnetic grip stays strong enough to hold pieces during movement but releases easily when you make your next move.

  • MAGNETIC PIECE GRIP: Built-in magnets lock each piece to the board preventing movement during bumps, travel, or outdoor play sessions.

  • FOLDABLE 30CM BOARD: The board folds in half measuring 30 by 30 centimeters open and fitting easily into bags for trips.

  • COMPLETE 32 PIECE SET: Includes all standard chess pieces in contrasting black and white colours for clear visibility during matches.

  • AGES SIX AND UP: Suitable for children learning basic rules and adults practicing tournament level strategies at any skill level.

  • ONE KILOGRAM WEIGHT: Weighs one kilogram providing stability during play while remaining light enough for easy carrying and storage.

  • PLASTIC CONSTRUCTION: Made from rigid plastic material that resists damage from regular handling, drops, and repeated folding over time.

Confirmation came through straight away, then another email when it was sent. Tracking worked and the parcel arrived when they said it would. Nice and straightforward

Benjamin Foster

Nothing missing and no surprises when I opened the parcel. What turned up matched what I’d seen on the website

Hannah Lewis

Had a look around before buying and this was a fair bit cheaper. Arrived as expected too, so happy with that.

Sophie Bennett

I emailed before ordering because I couldn’t work out which option I needed. Got a proper reply explaining the difference, rather than just a link back to the page I’d already read. Might seem a small thing but it helped me decide. Placed the order that evening and I’m happy with what arrived.

Harry Collins

My first order was only a small one a few months back. That went well, so I checked here when I needed something else. Different sort of purchase this time but everything was just as straightforward. Saved me another evening of looking around!

Daniel Thompson

Ordered Sunday evening and it was here Tuesday morning. Wasn’t expecting that, especially ordering over the weekend

Charlotte Brooks

All arrived, all good 😊

Amelia Scott

Entirely my mistake, I picked the wrong option and only noticed when the confirmation came through. Sent an email and they managed to change it before dispatch. Very relieved I didn’t have to deal with returning it afterwards!

George Wilson

Bought it in the sale. Happy with what I paid and it’s what I was after, which is the main thing.

Grace Mitchell

Hadn’t heard of Havenholt before and wasn’t sure about ordering from somewhere new. Only bought one thing to start with. There was a short wait for dispatch, but they kept me updated and everything arrived as described. Happy with the purchase and I’d be comfortable ordering again.

Emily Carter

There was a mix-up with my order so I had to get in touch. Sent a photo over and they explained what would happen next. Didn’t have to keep repeating myself to different people, which I really appreciated. All sorted now

Samuel Reed

They didn’t have the one I wanted when I went into the shop, but suggested checking online. Managed to order it on the website later that day. Would have preferred to take it home there and then, but this worked out fine.
